| L&T Construction bags orders valued Rs 1002 crore | |
| L&T Construction bags orders valued Rs 1002 crore The Power Transmission & Distribution IC of L&T Construction has won new orders valued over Rs 1002 crore across various business segments in June 2012. The Power Transmission & Distribution IC has secured new orders in both domestic and international markets. A major order worth Rs 846 crore has been bagged from West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company for rural electricity infrastructure in villages in Jalpaiguri, East Midnapur, West Midnapur and Malda districts of West Bengal under the Backward Region Grant Fund Scheme (BRGF). On the international front, new orders worth Rs 156 crore has been secured from reputed customer in Qatar for electrical network power quality improvement work including additional orders in ongoing projects in Middle East. The company made this announcement on 29 June 2012. |
